You have a bad connection on the CRT board thats mounted on the end of the picture tube it sounds like, or the socket on that board that plugs into the TV set is intermittant or has a bad solder connection on it. Good Luck

SOURCE: the picture has a green tint to it on all channels

The color signal consists of Red, Green and Blue. Those three colors, at various degrees, make all the other colors on your screen.

If you have a BRIGHT green screen it's best you don't operate your set.
If it's just tinted green then there is a problem on the CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) drive board. Do check your "tint" setting and see if someone misadjusted it. If that isn't it then you need to have your set on an electronics bench and get an estimate for repair.

Hello,

There is a problem with the power panel/pack of the television. It must have gotten burnt that is why your television is not coming up. If the green dot does not appear when you use a DVD player to watch a movie on the television, then the problem is not from the television, but if the green dot appears all the time, then it simply means there is a cold joint. Which means, there is melted lead from a panel in the tv.

But since it is under the warranty period, it will be best you take it back to the dealer that supplied it to you, because it is less than a year and it is giving faults,

All the best.

Take care and good luck

Screen has green corner at first and may changeto pinks and green

It sounds like the De-gauss circuit isnt working. It demagnetizes the TV tube.

It's something only a tech can fix though.

KV-36XBR200 Green in lower left corner

The most common cause is, shadowmask inside of the CRT is magnetized. It sounds by your description that the TV's internal degausser for the CRT is not working. This is serviceable by a service tech.

Most of the time the cause of a failed degausser is the thermoresistor. This is a common type of failure.

Another cause that can show the fault you are seeing is if the shadowmask in the CRT is defective. Sometimes the mask is damaged when the set is being moved, and is accidently banged against something. The CRT is sensitive to this type of treatement.

If the mask inside of the CRT is defvective, the only fix is a new CRT.

Letters in upper left hand corner of screen

You may find it in your "Menu" button on your remote, search for anything similar to "HD Logo" and turn it off. Failing that, make sure it isn't stuck on with transparent plastic, haha.
