The element is controlled by thermostats mounted inside the back of the dryer on the air exit box. There is also a contact on the motor that makes when the motor is running. Any of these could cause the problem. Try a different heat cycle, this may help narrow it down.

Do not rule out your control board but there are a couple of heat sensors you need to check. There is one bon the heat coil and one on the air exhaust. you can bypass them both one at a time to verify those are not it.

Whirlpool Senseon dryer control panel won't work

Could you please explain the problem in depth for me? Not sure what you mean by the control panel not working. Is it getting power? Do you have lights on inside the dryer (if it is equipped with it)?

After replacing the heating element in lte5243dq the thin twin dryer it still doesn't work

Did you check the thermostat and the high limit thermostat. If not check them for continuity with a volt meter to confirm if they are good or not. Continuity good, no continuity bad. I posted the diagram above so you can locate the pieces in the machine.

I have a Whirlpool Gold Senseon electric dryer that will run but does not heat. When the dryer is started it will remain in the "sensing" cycle for 9-10 minutes then jump to the cooldown cycle.

Our Whirlpool Senseon Dryer stopped heating. It's

I had the same problem. I replaced the thermistor, heating element and another part and still didn't correct problem. i finally had a friend come check it and believe it or not it was the 30 amp fuse in my fuse panel of the house.Come to find out the dryer will run and everything works like it should on 1/2 of the 220 plug but the other half runs the heating element. Both fuses must be good. I replaced the 30 amp round fuse and it works and heats perfect. I hope this helps you and saves you some time and money.

Whirlpool duet electric wil not heat

Remove 1 wire from the element . Your 220 V comes from ...110 motor , 110 control board . Check which wire is not getting 110 V , trace it and see which it comes from . That will tell you which one is defective .

Whirlpool electric dryer that will not heat up, dryer comes on and turns, but no heat

Check the following to address this issue.

1. No power to the dryer
Make sure there's power getting to the dryer. Check for tripped circuit breakers or blown fuses. An electric dryer uses two circuit breakers or fuses, and if only one of two is tripped or blown, the dryer might still run but not heat. Sometimes the power cord disconnects or burns at the dryer, if this is the case, the wiring and the terminal block must be repaired or replaced.

2. Heating element
A burned out heating element will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Replace the element if found defective.

3. Thermal fuse
Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.
