A/c on Chevy trailblazer is not blowing cold air. Blows air just not cold
Needs a charge make sure it dosent have a leak try 134 charge & leak / oil walmart .

i was a GM mechanic for many years, the problem you are having is one of your mode door actuators has gone bad, most of the time it is the actuator on the drivers side that causes the problems, i have seen this many times, sometimes you can take it to the dealer and they can hook the computer up to it and recalibrate it but most times it has to be replaced , it is located under the dash in the area above your gas pedal.

No your thermostat is stuck open which will not hurt the engine. but needs to be replaced, the thermostat is what allows the engine get up to operating temp. before allowing water to flow through the radiator and when it is stuck open it doesnt allow the engine to reach operating temp. so the heater never gets hot. More likely the recharge blew a o-ring and you have a leak. When your Cavalier was blowing hot air and a recharge fixed it that means it was low on freon which lets o-rings dry out, go back to the shop and have them leak test it. They use a pressurized dye to find the problem. If it's blowing it's not the cooling fan relay, they may have meant compressor relay but I'd have a leak test done first it's not expensive and easier that chasing unknown possibilities.

Sounds like a blend door actuator failure,
Might as well replace both sides
