My MS Word 2007 has been giving me problems for about a week or so. It's part of MS Office Home and Student 2007. The problem is that it keeps freezing up on me and I lose typed text. Eventually I can retrieve an auto-saved version but have to re-enter the text the most recent text I entered. This AM, I opened up the program, and when I went to click on the colorful button on the upper left (can't remember the correct name!), the program froze again. I can't get anything done! I have MacAfee internet security and get regular updates, and I have scheduled automatic scans (most recent was 3 days ago). No viruses have been identified. Can anyone help me?
Rename all instances of your document template files (Normal.dotm or Normal.dot). This will prevent formatting changes, AutoText entries, and macros that are stored in the global template (Normalm.dot or Normal.dot) from affecting the behavior of Word and documents that are opened.Renaming the template will let you quickly determine whether the global template is causing the issue.
When you rename the Normal.dotm template in Word 2007 or the Normal.dot template in Word 2003 and in earlier versions of Word, you reset several options to the default settings. These include custom styles, custom toolbars, macros, and AutoText entries.

Most of my messages in Outlook Outbox do not send. The ones that don't send lack a date stamp. What could possibly be preventing them from being date stamped? Sometimes if I start a new message and paste the unsent message into it and paste in the recipients address it will reappear in the outbox with a date stamp and then will send. Puzzling how a date stamp can be missing.
