If there is a reset/cancel button on your printer, try pressing this after loading the new cartridge. Otherwise, you may need to reset the printer.
You can go here, enter the model number and search for 'reset printer' to get instructions for your model. If you know how to force the machine to print a test page, do this. Sometimes that will trigger the printer to reset itself with the new cartridge loaded.
Sorry, I'm unable to track down that model or I'd give you better info....

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

The ink absorber is almost full on Pixma MP110-how do I clean?

Ink Absorber Full
This may clear the ink absorber problem. There is ink absorbers located at both ends of the printer where the ink head move.
To dry the ink absorber, power up the printer and open the cover so the ink cartridges and print head will move to the middle of the printer.
Then take several sheets of absorbent tissue, fold it into a pad and place it inside the printer over the ink absorber on the far left hand side of the printer to soak up the excess ink. You may need to change the absorbent tissue a few times. Then repeat the same procedure on the right hand ink absorber.
Close the lid and the printer should now function normally.

I have refilled my cartridges but it keeps telling me that An ink cartridge is not installed properly.

Dear,
There is an chip identifier in that catridge. Rifill catridge is not working for Canon Pixma series. If you will able to change that counter chip. then its possible.

Cheers
