How do I get through to the "Powers that be . . . " when a password I've been using for weeks all of a sudden is no good ? ? I'm getting VERY TIRED OF THIS . . . and it always happens on a Sunday .

I am referring to a password that I've been using for a long time and now, all of a sudden, I'm told it is not right. I answer the questions asked by the "experts" but nothing seems to suit them. (Is this plain enough?) I keep all of my names and passwords in a little notebook so it's not like I'm entering it from memory. . . and "No" my caps lock is NOT on ! !

SOURCE: HELP!! PLEAse!!!!!

What you have done is put a BIOS password on your system, all you have to do is enter the password you typed after you hit F10 the first time when the system boots up. if the password does not work try hitting the caps lock key and entering the password again.

SOURCE: HP Pavilion N5425 Password Reset

a password just switching on automatically i have not heard before. usually bios passwords have to be turned on and set in the bios. if you are working with a machine that has a system/bios password the only alternative is to contact hp and let them assist you. be mindful they will ask for you to verify ownership and possibly even provide a purchase receipt. this is to prevent theft of laptops. if the unit is out of warranty, they may even charge you. in the event this is a windows logon password there is nt password reset software that can allow you to reset the administrators passwords. so...if the password comes on immediately and does not allow you to proceed to windows you need to contact hp. there really is not easy way around the bios password with a laptop.

goodluck!

Powers on/off when the machine is on. When I try to sew, it does NOTHING or keeps reseting itself on/off.

it could be a short in the wiring, or a problem with the on & off switch
have you ever thought about trading it in on another machine you'd like
better.

Try taking the battery out and also the Sim card. Clean the connections off, you can use glasses cleaner or just a clean cloth. I've had phones do this sometimes and thats all it takes. Good luck.

Need solution

Hi,

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me".

Your concern with an RCA D52W26 is when you attempt to turn it on, it powers up as indicated by the LED lights but they then power OFF a few seconds later? or it powers on then you get to see bright line(s) left to right, then the TV powers OFF? or it powers on but only bklinking LED lights? If yes on the last any sequence to the flashing/blinking?

Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Ti 89 Titanium Battery use

I have a regular TI-89 (HW2)...have had it for 6 or 7 years. Suddenly it's doing the same thing. I have to put new batteries in it every week or so. I even replaced the backup Li-Ion battery. I'm getting really tired of buying new batteries but don't want to go shell out 100+ for a new one.

Anyone have anything on this? I'm having trouble finding much on this...
