Question about HP Deskjet 6980 InkJet Printer

Cant recover password stored on hp deskjet 6980

So, i lost my password for my wifi, and yes, i know i can reset the router to factory defaults, but i have so much set up on it i dont want to do it all over again. But when i set up my hp 6980 wirelesss printer i entered the password for my wifi. I went to my printers config page and the password is still there, but it is hidden behind asterisks, ive already tried multiple programs that reveal passwords behind the asterisks, but they dont work, because the pasword is not stored on my computer, but on the printer, is there any way to get the pasword from my printer? thanks :D

SOURCE: How to change black ink cartridge of HP Deskjet 6980

Lift the cover up.

The ink jet carriage should park in the center of the carriage.

Gently lift on the front of the ink jet until it removes. Some you have to lift up and some you have to lift down on. Just be careful.

HP inkjet cartridges tell you on the front of the stick by a dot weather it is tri color or black.

Hello sorry to bother you but I've lost my WiFi pass word and cannot connect my firestick which I've just wiped clean was trying to install it again

If you truly lost the password and don't have a means of recovering it, you need to reset the router (wifi device) to factory defaults. That way you can then go into the console and reset. If this is a device provided by a cable company - AND you have not touched any of the settings then the cable company will have your WiFi password. HTH

Model name wbmr-hp-g300h, i have lost the password so it cannot be log in

Did you loose WiFi access password or router password?
If it's WiFi password then you can connect over Ethernet cable, login to the router (default password is blank) and change WiFi password.
If it's router password you will need to reset it to factory defaults and setup everything from scratch.

Here is the manual with the details.

I lost my password, how can i reset it?

Hold down the reset button on the back of the router while you unplug and plug back in. make sure it's pressed in. You might want to use an unfolded paperclip or toothpick. Please rate my answer. Thanks

I forgot my password and want to know my password

Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a lost or forgotten password from a router or access point; you will need to reset the device to factory defaults. However, once the device is reset to factory defaults, you can use the default username ("admin") and password (either "password" or "1234" depending on your router) to reconfigure your router settings. if there is a small hole in the front or back of the router push a hair pin in to reset to factory settings
Hope this helps don't forget to vote

make sure your routers setting are correct ie:password user name, firewall settings to allow your internet to connect also test the lead/s whether usb or ethernet you might check your modem first to make sure that you are getting a connection
last resort ring your ISP internet sevice provider get them to check your modem for internet access online

How to recover a lost password on a Nortel SR 1004

There's no way that you can restore a lost password of your router. The only way you can do is to reset it to factory default and you must know the default username and password of your router. Some of the router manufacturers uses: admin for username and pass for password, some just leaves the password blank but put admin for the username.
