Question about Vizio L37 Television

1 Answer

Vizio L37 I inadvertently pressed a button on my remote control, got a blue screen with NO SIGNAL.. then the TV automatically turned off. Now when I hit the power on button on my remote control, the blue screen appears with NO SIGNAL written at the top. I've unplugged the TV, in hopes that it would reset... but that did not work. Grrrrrrrrrr CSI is on and I can't watch it! Please help me. Thank you! Robin

Could you please tell me how to reset my tv? I have a blue screen

What should I do if my TV screen turned black, blue, or gray? print.png Print try this.

Proceed with the troubleshooting steps below only if you're seeing:
  • Black, blue, or gray screen
  • "No Signal" message without the DIRECTV logo
Note: If your TV screen appears "frozen" or you're seeing wavy lines or overlapping images, try this.
Solution 1: Check that your TV is set on the right input
[img border="0" alt="Image" src="">Turn your TV and receiver off and back on.
[img border="0" alt="Image" src="">Using your DIRECTV remote control, press the TV Input button to cycle through TV inputs (Component, HDMI, etc) until you see a picture. If nothing happens when you press the button, try programming your DIRECTV remote to control your TV Input and try again.

Note: You can also try changing the TV Input using your TV remote.
[img border="0" alt="Image" src="">If you're still having issues, check the cable used to connect your receiver to your TV.
Still not seeing a clear picture?

Solution 2: Reset Your Receiver
[img border="0" alt="Image" src="">On some DIRECTV receivers there is a red reset button located inside the access card door on the front panel. Press it, then wait for your receiver to reboot.

Note: If you cannot locate the red reset button or your receiver does not have one, unplug the receiver's power cord from the electrical outlet, wait 15 seconds, and plug it back in. Then press the Power button on the front panel of your receiver and wait for your receiver to reboot.

TV wont stay on

Try changing the INPUT by pressing the button on remote control. Try plugging something else into tv. Ex, dvd player. And try that input also.

The tv had blue screen briefly showing "no signal" then turns off. ... and I am getting the same blue screen-no signal.

If your television is displaying a blue screen or no signal message and then turning off, your TV may be at an inactive input. Here's how you can get back to watching your TV:
1. Powering on your TV and press the INPUT button on the VIZIO remote control repeatedly until a picture re-appears.
2. If this does not work, try again but press the button slower this time.

I got this off the vizio website.

LCD controller board location on Vizio L37

Display controller is usually under the Main board which you remove to get access to it. Display controller connects to the suis-boards which then send signal to the screen of the TV.

When i turn on y Vizio LCD TV theres a blue screen that says no

Your TV is probably in RGB mode which means its looking for a computer signal. Plug a computer into your TV and then it will stay on. Then you can change it back to TV mode.

T.v. will not stay on

Power on your TV and press the INPUT button on the side of the TV repeatedly and rapidly until you can change it to a different input, such as AV.

If this does not work. Try this: With the TV off, press and hold the input button on the side of the TV for about 5 seconds. The TV should power on and the input list will appear. Let me know if either of these work.
