My LG Split 1 ton Continue poor working with under voltage 180V (Due to Long distance Transformer), Once its capacitor have to change this summer. Now i arrange Stabilizer which give 230V. Before...

Unfortunately, there is not a great deal of information about LG splits available, but is you are talking $12,000 to to repair, then it is much cheaper to replace since a two ton complete is less that half that amount.

This is a 3 and 1/2 ton unit.

AC tonnage is based on 12,000 btu per ton.
12,000.....1 ton
18,000.....1 and 1/2 ton
24,000.....2 ton
30,000.....2 and 1/2 ton
36,000.....3 ton
42,000.....3 and 1/2 ton
48,000.....4 ton
60,000.....5 ton.
There is no 4 and 1/2 ton unit.

What is the btu of this model.m7q08f2a.

Hi, to find out the tonnage of your unit in b. t. u.'s, look at the 08 in your model number. There are 12,000 btu's per ton of cooling. You have a window /wall unit, and according to the model # 08 is not a 1/2 ton or a 1 ton, but a 3/4 ton unit or 8,000 btu's if indeed this is the correct model number. Most units we come across are in btus as 06 which is 1/2 ton, 12,000 is 1 ton, 018 is 1 1/2 ton and on up with a properly matched indoor coil. Your unit is a package window unit, so both coils are equal.

What is the capacity on my Rheem Classic High Efficiency Outdoor a/c unit. I have a home that is 3200sqf. It seems to be on some type of a damper system... Is this unit big enough for my home?

depending who you talk to a ton will cover about 500 sq ft (as some say 400 sq ft others say 600 sq ft). I believe your unit is a 3 1/2 ton unit. Below is a chart
0sf-750 sf= 1.5 ton
751-1000sf= 2.0 ton
100sf1-1250sf=2.5 ton
1251sf-1500sf=3.0 ton
1501sf-1750sf=3.5 ton
1751sf-2000sf=4.0 ton
2001sf-2500sf=5.0 ton
I would say if you have two units then you are covered, remember the area(region) walls, ceiling and other climate factors will play into your tonnage for you house. The best thing is to consult with a honest and reliable a/c installer in your area. i hope this helped Tim

We have 1 ton window ac and its not cooling properly and forming ice, also its not draining out water properly

the fact that it is not draining could be the problem with it freezing up. you might have to pull it out of the window, pop the cover off and clean the drain pan so it will drain properly. also make sure the unit is level . if it still freezes up once draining properly it is probably low on charge.

Could I use wire size 14 for 1 1/2 ton air window

No sir,14 gauge, three conductor will carry only up to 15 amps, which is usually wired for lighting circuits.Look on the electrical requirement plate on the unit, usually located under the front panel cover. It will tell you how many amps are drawn when unit is operating.Using a three conductor cable;wire accordingly:#14--15amps----#12--20amps---#10--30amps----#8--50amps.These are the wire sizes and the current(amps)they will carry.Be safe!
