There should be a very small black switch similar to the ringer switch on a telephone located just under the blades on the casing of the fan. If you can't find it after that make friends with a qualified electrician and ask them for a favor...

I'm pretty handy with things like this and there is no switch located under the blades. I have the remote but... the fan buttons don't communicate with the receiver.. only the light.

How to manually reverse ceiling fan direction.

Hi,
You did not provide a make or model of your fan, but check your owner's manual if you have one. There should be a website or a service support telephone number to obtain more information. Most ceiling fans have a reversing switch on the fan itself. They can be a pull-chain type or a slide switch.

My ceiling fan has no reverse switch, how do i change the direction

My fan does not have a reverse switch for sure so I scoured the net and got no real answer. I did come accross a comment that said that it worked internally at the remote box in ceiling. Here is how I finally figured it out after about 6 months of searching. Put the fan on high, Turn wall switch OFF, Hold the HI button on remote, Turn switch back on. IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sparq

How do I make the fan reverse with RCR2 remote. Lost manual.

The fan should have a switch on it to set it for clockwise and counterclockwise direction. The remote usually does not control the direction.

How do I reverse the direction of the fan blades to counter-clockwise on the fan? The fan is a Hampton Bay ''Clarington'' with a remote control.

There is a small black switch on the switch housing directly under the blades. When the fan is completely off, move the switch to the opposite direction.

Reversing direction on remote controlled fan

There is no switch. Put the fan on high then hit the reverse button. Your fan should stop, reverse and you'll bet all set.
