Question about Computers & Internet
We are dealing with a Sony Vaio VGN-FE550G. The basic problem is that my laptop won't run off battery power anymore. It will charge the batteries and recognizes them, but when I take the power cord out it shuts off and doesn't switch to battery power.
This started when I did the battery recall for the system and the new battery worked for a month then it started doing this after I accidently kick the AC cord out of the computer while walking passed.
Sony says I need a new battery, but I don't really believe them.
Anyone have any ideas?
Sounds more likely you have blown part of the charging circuit when you have pulled the ac cord from the laptop
