That happend to me mate. I'm sorry to say but that's it gone, & believe me i tried for months on end to find a new board for it, in the end i got a SA-DV280 amp off my mate coz he snapped the cable to the CD Deck. & it still works to this day.

I take it you have a cd stacker
PRESS AND HOLD eject button,insert credit card under cartridge
Push card firmly in,move left -right,this will locate micro switch.
Cartridge should pop out so you can check discs
Hi... Try covering the little red window that has the wireless remote receiver behind it. See what happens.If the problem quits,your stereo is picking up some other IR source in the room. Also,shoot some WD40 into the cutout around the power switch ( WITH THE POWER UNPLUGGED) push the switch on/off several times then plug the AC back in.
I understand the problem. It should be the relay which is not responding, technically not able to connect the system power supply, you will have to replace the relay. The STK chip should be working fine.
