Question about Locks & Locksmithing

My front door has a Roto R627 lock. I can't get

My front door has a Roto R627 lock. I can't get the dead lock to lock. I have tried turning the handle upwards to open out the other deadlocks and slide locks, they work okay, but when I turn the key to engage the central deadlock, it wont budge. It means I can't use any of the deadlock features on my door and just using the single barrel lock. Can I fix this? I dont want to buy a new lock if I can avoid it.

If the deadlock moves a little bit, The deadbolt may not be lining up with the hole. Put some lipstick on the deadbolt tongue and try to turn it. Then check where it is hitting the frame. You might have to just tighten up the hinges to shift the door position.

Citroen C2 battery is dead, locked key in the motor vehcile, have a spare key but the front door will not open manually ?

The only thing I can think of is that this make uses an electric lock actuator and the key just turns on a switch, with no battery power no lock action.

Dead battery doors locked

You can do one thing, not sure if it would work, but try this:
1. Go to the drivers front door,
2. There should be a lock in the door, place the key in the lock.
3. Turn the key to one side or the other, by this time you should be able to hear a familiar sound, as when you unlock a door from the inside.
Good luck.

Doors not opening even if they are unlocked

My 2009 Sebring does the same thing occasionally but only the drivers door gets stuck (dead locked - even though the locks appear to pop up).
The solution I have found once this happens is:
1) The car needs to be driven (crawl in thru the passenger door) -even just a short distance
2) Engine shut off & doors locked with remote (after you've exited from the passenger door of course)
3) Leave turned off for 10 minutes
4) Doors will now open when unlocked with the remote

Car parked uphill .front wheel turned left to block wheels on the curb. can't turn ignition key

Hi!
Turn steering wheel left while turning the key on the ignition. When you park with your wheels turn either way, There is pressure exerted on the wheel lock, like trying to turn a dead bolt lock while pulling the door. Turning the wheel towards the side where the wheel are turned will relieve that pressure and let the cylinder lock turn free.

Cant unlock car while battery is dead

The driver's door lock is a mechanical linkage, not electric. Turn the top of the key toward the front of the vehicle. If it will not open, there is a mechanical problem in the door; your local AAA tow company can break in with a "slim jim".

Kikset dead bolt is loose on front door from the outside...

there should be a small allen screw on the shaft of the thumb turn on the inside. loosen the allen screw, pull off the inside thumb turn and take a small flat blade screwdriver and gently pry on the edge of the cover. It will come off. the 2 screws are under the cover plate. If this helps, lt others know. thanks
