My front door has a Roto R627 lock. I can't get

My front door has a Roto R627 lock. I can't get the dead lock to lock. I have tried turning the handle upwards to open out the other deadlocks and slide locks, they work okay, but when I turn the key to engage the central deadlock, it wont budge. It means I can't use any of the deadlock features on my door and just using the single barrel lock. Can I fix this? I dont want to buy a new lock if I can avoid it.

If the deadlock moves a little bit, The deadbolt may not be lining up with the hole. Put some lipstick on the deadbolt tongue and try to turn it. Then check where it is hitting the frame. You might have to just tighten up the hinges to shift the door position.

2003 VW GOLF REAR door wont open

The rear door lock actuator has failed in the door locking unit this is a common problem you can manually unlock the door to replace the latch if you didn't have the deadlocking on if you cant try pressing the locking button twice so when the car is locked the flashing red light is not blinking ie off on the drivers. Doing this usually causes the faulty lock to release the dead locking so you can pull the inside handle to unlock the door.

How do I fix a lock that is jammed?

Contact the builder of the doors of the Summerhouse or go to the lock companies website. There may have been a faulty batch or known fault identified on these locks you have fitted.

Alternatively contact a local locksmith who could give tyou advice..

Hi I have an iseo lock on my reasonably new summerhouse and although i have the key and the key turns both ways in the lock, apparently engaging and disengaging the lock on a single turn each way, i cannot...

You should be able to feel the lock disengage. Also feel the latch moving. If you can feel this, then the door is jammed, not the lock or handle. They do swell. You'll just have to force it open. You might try spraying some lube at the top and bottom, where you suggested it feels stuck.

I have a mondeo 2.0l serve x the 2000 car I can open the front drivers door with the key or fob passenger door I have to use the key but both back doors wont open at all they are deadlocked it seems t

Are you saying they won't unlock with the power unlock or that they cannot be opened from the exterior and interior handles? If you can't open with either latch, then there is a mechanical problem with both doors. If you add info or clarify, please add to original question via comment.

Hi. remove the rear seat and door pad. You can access the lock through a small hole, break the top inner corner of the lock and it will release the dead lock and open the door.

Door locked shut

Hi found myself in same situation. Press in latch and insert fingers upwards there is a grey plastic strip push this up with fingers and door should open. Note upward press needed where this catch meets front of machine so just slide fingers up from latch/handle. There's actually no need to take top off to enable this.

Honda civic stuck in deadlock can't open any doors as the key won't work in any of the door lock's or boot

Try having a new key cut using the key code, at a dealer, not tracing the old key.

Peugeot 406 HDI 2001. O/S rear door dead locked.

Deep joy. This can be a royal pain. The only way I have successfully done this is to put a battery charger on the car overnight, locked, and then when the battery is sitting at about 15v unlock it with the remote - when the lazy deadlock is stirred into action. It can take a couple of attempts. It really is incredibly difficult to get to. Otherwise, its most easily a case of breaking the unit...though you could try taking the leads off and applying 18v to the solonoid directly. That was my next move, but never needed to get there. You can however stop the deadlock from locking, by cutting one of the wires, test using a multimeter which one is live when you arm the alarm/deadlock the car. Thats also the one to apply 18v to if you want to.
