Microsoft's Elite Wireless keyboard and mouse is an excellent combination for use, according to your criteria. It costs less than $65.00 and is easily connected to replace a wired keyboard and mouse.
I have been using two of them for years now, and have never had a problem with them.
They eliminate excess wires, and work like a charm.

I have ASUS U81A-RX05. I recently started using a Dynex USB keyboard because I can't seem to adjust to the laptop's keyboard. However, now, when I'm NOT using the USB keyboard, my laptop keyboard acts as though I'm using the Fn key, but only on the u, i, o, p, j, k, l, and m keys. Therefore, I see numbers. The odd thing is, this doesn't happen when I'm hitting the C or V keys which have other functions. I tried the Fn+F11 key combo suggested above, but that did NOT solve my problem. Can anyone help me?

I just installed the KB5500W Keyboard/mouse on my laptop running XP Home edition SP3. There was no driver CD in the box but everything seems to work Ok except for the FAVORITES smart key. All the other smart key seem to work, but when I press the favorites key at the top of the keyboard nothing happens. What is this key supposed to do?
