If it's a USB card reader, go here and download the universal USB driver for Win98 or Win98SE:

http://www.technical-assistance.co.uk/kb/usbmsd98.php

One of my machines is Win98 and this driver has never failed me. Install the driver first, then plug in the device and the hardware wizard will detect it and do the install.

OR

If instead you have a 9-in-1 reader that goes in a 3.5 inch bay (like a diskette drive), that is an IDE device and needs to be attached like hard drive or CD-ROM, then your operating system will recognize it.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My laptop does not read the memory card when i put the memory card in the card reader slot

There might be some technical problem. It can be with the card reader slot probably.Try using the memory card on another card reader if it works replace your card reader as it is faulty. Also do check that none of the cables connecting the card reader to the p.c are defaced/damaged.Do make a note that the Port on which you are using the card reader is working properly when you attach some other device to it.If still your card does not work then your card is faulty reaplace it with a new one

Bought in New York, cant get it to work in UK.

In order to purchase the books from the US Reader Store, a US Credit Card is required. Since you live in UK, you might not be having the US Credit Card, so its not working. However, you can use the UK Reader Store with the Reader... Please download the Reader Library Software from the UK Website and it should work...

Nikon coolpix s51, lost the adaptor for connection between laptop and camera. where can i get a new one? friend has a nikon coolpix as well. cant understand why his cable doesn't fit.

Nikon usually uses a standard fitting , but there are now 5 or six different "standard" USB tips (see Wikipedi article about USB if you want pictures. GE makes an adapter cable with interchnageable tips. You can also get the replacement cord thru any Nikon dealer (if they are willing to order it for you), But my personal choice is to get a digital media card reader instead and remove the card from the camera and read it thru the card reader- multi format card readers can be bought at office supply stores for under $20 and sometimes OfficeDepot puts their Aptiva brand single format card readers on sale for $5

Pc acer aspire T650. My card reader fail so i took it out from my pc. Since then I have problem to make my pc read my external HD and the 2 usb in front don't work and since a very long time. Where can I...

hi,
Infact front USb ports are connected with the card reader it self.If you are havingthe separate connectors then you will have to connect those to motherboard to make those USBs to work.

You can get any 9 in one card reader from nearest hardware vendor and deploy it.

thanks

Memory card cant be read My 4gb SanDisk microSD memory doesn't read on my computer. I bought it today at Radio Shack.

Are you using a card reader? If yes, you need to isolate the problem. Please follow the steps below:

1. Try connecting your memory card reader into different USB port of the computer.
2. Try using different card reader to see if there's a problem with the card or with the reader.
3. Connect it into different computer.
4. Remove and reinsert the MicroSD in the card reader and make sure that the card is properly seated.
5. If the card reader and the computer are working but still unable to detect the MicroSD, try to reformat the card.
6. If same problem persist, return it to the store and have it replaced.

Have a great day!
