Question about Casio Exilim EX-Z57 Digital Camera
I went to charge my camera and so i popped out the battery and there was gooey stuff on it. I wiped it off and the black on it came off. But I went on charging it and this morning I went to put it back in my camera and it would start to open the lense and turn on, but once the lense was fully extended, it would go back in and it would say on the screen turn powere back on. Once I did that, it said lense problem or something. I think it might be battery acid but I'm not sure. My camera is a Casio Exilim Optical, 7.2 Mega Pixels. Please help! =~)
Clean all battery acid off with a Qtip, a little water and baking soda. Wet tip of Qtip, dip in baking soda a rub on contacts, use clean Qtp with water only and reclean. Then blow all water out and dry completely. Buy a new battery, old on is leaking acid do not reuse. This should solve problem.
