Most tvs require you to enter the setup menu and find the tv settings (as opposed to sound, color, display...). There should be a menu option on your remote.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Lost ABC channels on retune, how do I regain reception

Try manually entering the channel number. Many TV's have, besides autoscan, a way to manually add or remove channels.
(Besides, what is worth watching on ABC? (;^D)

Do a factory reset to this set. Refer its user manual for details.

How to retrieve lost channels on digital tv

To restore missing channels, you need to retune your digital receiver (box or TV).

The retuning process runs a scan and finds all the available channels. Your box may have an Add New Channels option that you can use, but this may not pick up other changes such as channels being moved to a different multiplex or removed altogether.
How to retune
  1. Switch on your digital box and/or TV.
  2. Press Menu on the remote control.
  3. Select the Setup or Installation option.
  4. Select the 'First time installation' option (sometimes called 'Factory reset', 'Full retune' or 'Default settings').
  5. Press OK if your equipment asks if you want to delete all your channels. Don't worry, this is normal.
  6. If you are prompted for a code, try 0000 or 1234.
  7. Channels will be automatically installed. This may take a few minutes and your equipment may shut down and restart.
  8. After retuning, you will have to redo your Favourites list and other settings. If you retune a digital TV recorder, you also should reset future recordings.

Have changed location dont have manual cannot

You didn't bother to mention brand and model; not likely to get much help.
Check the set's menu for channel selection, nearly all sets manufactured in the last decade will scan and save any signals they get that are of useful strength.

My PVR has retuned (DSO)to the wrong transmitter. I receive signals from the Winter Hill transmitter and live in SW Cumbria. My Humax 9200T has retuned ok but my older 8000T has retuned to a transmitter in...

Not a complete solution but after much fruitless fiddling through the menu I eventually found that the programmes were actually there but under different channel numbers.
I searched a long way down the LIST of channels (on remote) The BBC1 channel I want is now 800 BBC. Selecting 1 on the remote still brings up BBC Wales.
This applies to my Humax 8000T PVR - I can't comment on other makes of Freeview box.

Cannot retune channel 5 on my tevion

You need to find a menu which has initial setup, setup channels or scan for channels in it. Without a manual it's difficult for me to guess where it is. Tevion Technical support is on 0161 975 0458

Samsung tellys top level menus should have a choice of four or five sub-menus.

The one you want is that represented by a picture of a satelite dish / antenna. Dont worry if you dont get your TV via satelite, this is just the symbol they use to denote the tuning options.

Down arrow to the satelite dish sub-option and select enter. This should then give you several more options, one of which is Tuning, Select this and then select Auto Tune, then press enter and the set will completely retune itself.

If youre asking this as a result of yesterday's Freeview retune, then you may well end up with some "dummy" channels - i.e. they either have nothing at all displayed or a message telling you the channel has moved - or some of the channels have an incorrect name. I'm hoping that now the retune has happened, in the near future these dummys or errors will be fixed.
Some Samsung TV's dont have a "tuning" sub-menu but "Channel(s)". Selecting this will then give the Auto Tune option.

Started to retune our tv this afternoon and it gets stuck on channell 68 and won't switch off, except manually. What should I do?? The set top box is Netgem. Thanks

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information
