Replace spindle shaft on 42 insch cutting deck

take the deck off. the shaft you want to replace take the nut off the pulley on top and hit it with a hammer it should fall out the bottom. take blade off and there go. be sure bearings are good put new shaft in and put pulley and washer and nut and blade . take a picture of how it comes apart so you don't forget when you go to put it back together.

I took the blades off my table fan to clean them and once i put the fan back together and turned the fan back own the blade spins and everything but no air is blowing out

I think that you may have put the blade on backwards. try taking the fan apart and reversing the blade around and reassembling the fan.

How do i put the steering wheel back on my 1989 buick lesabre ?

If you look very closely you will see either a small demarcation or scatch on the center ring and steering shaft. Line these up and replace the washer and nut. Then torque to company specs. 25-35 ft lbs should surfice.

Turn fan on and extremly noisy. I have replace the motor using the same fan blades, but noise still exist. Any suggestion to the problem?

You are in position to visualise the fault as the blades are turned so that the nosie is seen . It can be from rubbing of the fan leaf, slipping of the blades from the shaft, or a possible vibration.
remove the power and turn manually to hear the noise to correct.

Fan does not come on

This will take some work, and some elbow grease, but what happened is the motor bushings most likely seized. Try turning the blades with your hand. If they are stiff, the bushings are seized. What you will have to do is take the fan apart. First by removing the blades, then by taking the motor off of the frame. Then depending on the type of bolts/ screws that hold the motor together, remove them. Then split the motor apart by taking a flat blade screwdriver and sliping it between the two pieces of the motor and turning it so they slip apart. then once the motor is apart, shine up and clean the motor's shaft so it is clcan and shiny. then do the same for the bushing/ beringholes in the motor's casing. then drip some oil in the berings, and on the motor shaft, and put the motor back together. then put it back on the frame, and plug the fan in. turn it on. the shaft should just spin without any help. if this does spin, put the blades back on, and put the guard back on. Then you sucessfully rebuilt the motor and the fan!

Cant unlock steering wheel to start car

I would chalk that up to old age and wear and tear. I expect that when you take the steering column apart you will find a lot of play in the linkage between the ignition and the lock. These will probably be dealer only items to replace unless you can find them in a scrap yard. It will probably be easiest just to remove the lock mechanism and leave it that way. Just make sure that everything else works before you put the column back together. You may also be able to shim out the play with some time and patience if you can't find parts. Copper and brass work the best. Hope this helps.

I hit a rock and bent the blade on a yard machine. Replaced the blade and tried to start the mower, but the start rope doesn't come out all the way and recoils hard as I'm trying to pull it out.

I did the same exact thing over the weekend, try adjusting your new blade unscrew the main bolt to the blade about 1/2 turn that should get it spinning again, same exact thing happened to me. Good Luck

Wiring Assembly for Wiper Blades

This happened to mine. There is a black box under your dash that controls your wipers have you replaced that first? I tore down my steering column replaced the wiring swirch andall it was is that black box under my dash... If it is the wiring switsh you have to get a sterring wheel puller it makes it easy. Take it all apart you will see the wirer running from the wiper switch down to the dash unplug them on both sides and pull it thru your steering column. get a new one or go to junk yard much cheaper than 80 dollars at advance auto. And put it back together the way you took it apart. There are lots of screws so dont loose them.. Hopeful this will help you but like i said check that black box under your dash first it is a easy fix if thats your problem.
