Monitor on off button on front doesn’t turn the unit off and on.
I have a Gateway monitor 2100.The on off button on front doesn’t turn the unit off and on. I have to unplug the power cord. That worked for a while but now I Get a bright power on blue light for a second or 2 and then the blue light dims, no picture nothing.
I have taken it apart and found that:
A: With NO ribbons plugged to screen panel and I plug in, the off/on works ok. I get a bright blue light for about 10-15 seconds, like it's trying to boot up and then the light goes yellow like it's going into sleep mode. I can hear a faint buzzing noise from one of two little black boxes on the main curit board it is marked T302. (Could this be the problem)?
B. With the main ribbon plugged into the panel and power applied. I get symptoms as described (NO BUZZING SOUND).can someone help me? I paid a lot of money for this thing.
