Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L Top Load Washer
It may have a broken suspension spring. These units sometimes rust out where the rear motor counterbalance spring goes to the frame. Tilt back and see if you see a spring running vertical from the frame inback on bottom near center, up to the mechanism. If it is rusted out, just drill new hole near old one and re-attach.
Also lift rear of washer 4 inches or more by tilting forward and setting back down. This will set the self leveling rear legs, if there not stuck. When you set it down it should not have any movement from corner to corner. Try pushing up and down on corners. It should be pretty steady.
Try reaching inside and moving inner tub back and forth. You should hear a splashing sound. This is the solution in balance ring in top of outer tub. If you don;t hear this it may have leaked out and may need to replace balance ring.
The other thing involves a bit of work. The snubbers may be worn out. How old is this unit?
