Good Morning. There was a power outage yesterday. Last night, I found an error code 0x866a7a16 on the screen panal of my HP officejet 7410 All-In-One. I have Windows XP. The PRINT On button,FAX Auto Answer button and Explanation Point button continue to flash. I powered down, changed the USB cable, pressed every button on the panel and get no response. I also tried to remove the print cartridges but they are locked in place. I have power but no responses. Tryed to do a print from my computer and got a message my computer could not communicate with the printer. Can you help me? Thanks. Jan

Hi you can try these steps:

  1. Turn the product off.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the product.
  3. Wait 30 seconds, and then connect the power cord to the product.
  4. Turn the product on.
  5. Make a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel.
  • If the copy job is successful, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
  • If the error message displays again, proceed to the next solution.
2)
  1. Disconnect the power cord from the product.
  2. Press and hold # and 3 while reconnecting the power cord to the product, and then release both buttons.
  3. Try making a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the product control panel.
    • If the partial reset resolves the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
    • If the error message displays again, proceed to the next step to try a semi-full reset.
  4. Disconnect the power cord from the product.
  5. Press and hold # and 6 while reconnecting the power cord to the product, and then release both buttons.
  6. Try making a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the product control panel.
  7. the # and 6 will reset the whole printer as it is factory, I hope it will work fine!!Best of luck!!

I have an HP 7280 all in one. Worked great for a couple of years and now I have blinking lights and a code on the screen. The code is B0539F38 and sometimes it is 00729C8. I was able to reconnect it last...

You need to pull the right side panel off, remove the motherboard, pull the coin cell battery out for a couple of seconds, put it back in and back together. Your issue will be solved.

Monitor blinking but will not come on

most of the time the blinking is a form of error message from the monitor depending on how many blinks in between each pause lets service technicians know which breaker fuse or transistor needs to be replaced
I would suggest taking it into a computer repair store and have them attempt to fix it however alot of the times its cheaper to just buy a new one

Hope this helps

Power outage caused by fridge to quit

OUCH! , the partial digit display is an error code that has a meaning and they are never good , these units I have seen/repaired many times but I do not have the code book to determine it.
Try holding down the power freeze and power cool at the same time until you get something. If the unit is ok it will reset and hopefully be fine , if you still get a code these units have longer warranty's and could be repaired with no charge.

Your minitors power supply is now damaged, probably from the power outage. I t will need to be repaired or replaced. Check the cost and benifits of both options and make a discision.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
