Blinking panal lights/no responseno communication w/computer.Help
Good Morning. There was a power outage yesterday. Last night, I found an error code 0x866a7a16 on the screen panal of my HP officejet 7410 All-In-One. I have Windows XP. The PRINT On button,FAX Auto Answer button and Explanation Point button continue to flash. I powered down, changed the USB cable, pressed every button on the panel and get no response. I also tried to remove the print cartridges but they are locked in place. I have power but no responses. Tryed to do a print from my computer and got a message my computer could not communicate with the printer. Can you help me? Thanks. Jan

most of the time the blinking is a form of error message from the monitor depending on how many blinks in between each pause lets service technicians know which breaker fuse or transistor needs to be replaced I would suggest taking it into a computer repair store and have them attempt to fix it however alot of the times its cheaper to just buy a new one
OUCH! , the partial digit display is an error code that has a meaning and they are never good , these units I have seen/repaired many times but I do not have the code book to determine it.
Try holding down the power freeze and power cool at the same time until you get something. If the unit is ok it will reset and hopefully be fine , if you still get a code these units have longer warranty's and could be repaired with no charge.
These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here.
