Well if that is off i hope you have a mouse if not get one then go to control panel then printrs and other hardware or something similar click mouse and you should see touchpad somwhere and enable it also having a mouse plugged in and the touchpad on together for constant use could result in confliction between them to solve just enable your touchpad as a slave meaning wen a mouse is plugged in it doesnt work but wen there isnt one it does
