How do I take apart the cabinet on small 12 inch TV

  • It doesn't seem it should be that hard - I think there is a trick to it. I have removed the obvious screws
  • The TV I think just needs fuse as it shows no red light at all when connected to power.
  • I had been away for 3 months and on returning pressed the remote and a static like charge occurred with a "pop".
  • Its about 9 years old , very little use.

Is there a hidden screw under a lable or nameplate? Sometimes if there is no screw it needs a good "pop" to get it open as they used alot of plastic snaps to hold things together.

My 1978 Suzuki 550 SE starts up with the choke, warms up, and then gives me about 12-15 minutes. It stalls out, then will only restart if I choke it. I noticed that the gas line MAY be crimped, so I took...

That is indeed most likely a stick float.
A percussive type repair may do the trick here.
(hit it with something hard)
My favorite knockometer set for this purpose is a wooden dowel (1/2 inch or more in diameter) placed against the float bowl, coupled with a lightweight attitude adjuster (hammer).
A few short raps usually will do the trick.
Be careful - those bowls are aluminum, and you don't want to break them!
Hit it like you are STARTING a nail, not driving it into the wood (if you get my meaning)

A bike of that vintage does not surprise me that it only starts with the choke.
If one cylinder is flooding, it also doesn't surprise me that it bogs and fails shortly after!

If the percussive attitude adjustment doesn't solve the issue, you'll have to at the very least take off the float bowl and clean or replace the float needle or fix the float itself.

Samsung 170 MP LCD Monitor Disassembly

The plastic case also has latches along the sides, top and bottom. Take a small flat blade screwdriver and go between the 2 halves of the case. The 2 pieces should open just a bit, now move the screwdrivers along the seam between the 2 halves. about every 2-4 inches there is a clip that needs to be released. You can release it by applying a small amount of pressure by each clip and moving down to the next one while pulling the case apart.

HITACHI 65XWX20B - How to disassemble the cabinet?

The 65XWX20B comes apart in 2 pieces - there is a top half and a bottom half.

- The bottom half houses all of the electronics, projection lenses, etc. It is very heavy and should be moved with care.

- The top half is basically just the screen.

I have moved this Television multiple times, even up and down from a 3rd floor apartment!

- First remove the screws holding the top and the bottom, the important ones are on the sides of the TV.

- This is important, I suggest 3 people do this part: Slowly lift the top away from the bottom half of the TV, but -not- very far. There is small wiring harness that that attaches the top of the TV to the bottom to a circuit board. This must be unplugged by one person while the other 2 hold the top half of the TV slightly above the bottom half. Note carefully where this plugs in so that you can reassemble easily.

- Once this is disconnected the TV is much easier to move, although still quite heavy and bulky. Do not turn the TV on its side - keep it upright while moving.

Reverse this process to put it back together.

Once you have done it once it is quite easy.

Good luck.

COld Solder/Short

The silver box where the cable plugs into is the TUNER,there are no fuses in there and the problem is not likely to be there, the loose conection could be anywhere but you have a few places to check, with the tv unplug from the wall you can safely check for loose conections in the power supply area and around the output transistor including the areas of the horizontal drive circuit and output transformer, those are the areas most likely to the symptoms you have but you can also check the edges of the chassis for a broken or crack board.Let Us know if you need more help.Be careful when you are checking for conections.
