Question about InFocus IN72 Multimedia Projector
I have an infocus Screenplay 5000 with around 1,200 hours on the bulb. While watching a movie, it let out a burst of really loud electrical buzzing (think Dr. Frankenstein's laboratory) and died. The pilot light on the power button won't even light (it glows when plugged in). I looked at the lamp and it looks fine: clean, no signs or damage. It actually looks like new. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Check the lamp again. look in the reflection in the bell of the center glass. do you see any black spots or cracks or uneven bulging? if so, change the lamp and blow the dust out, because it may be over heating. otherwise, the power supply is fried and needs replacing.
