I have a fairly new Dell system. The keyboard works perfectly in Word and other places. It skips characters in email and facebook nd ee! (and here)

I had the same problem on a new Dell. Then the problem went away. The only change I made was to replace the 'free' McAfee security with Norton. I wonder if McAfee could be interfering with the keyboard strokes when typing on the internet. Are you using McAfee?

Just curious: have you tried another keyboard? Have you tried this keyboard on another machine?
