That's an enegy saving "feature" - the ability to turn off the clock. Usually (in most models), you can turn the clock display back on by pressing and holding the clock 10 to 15 seconds.

Sounds to me from the information you provided that the auto timer is set...when the auto timer gets set you are generally unable to use the oven. If the auto timer is not set then you are looking at a problem with the Electronic oven control..do any error codes show up f1 - f2 - f3 and so on?

I suspect the timer is involved in this process. It can be set to clean automatically. You need to set the complete time at least 2 hours after start.

1. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check the wiring between EOC & Lock Motor Micro Switch.

2. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Replace the Motor Door Latch assembly if necessary.

3. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check for binding of the Latch Cam, Lock Motor Rod & Lock Motor Cam.

4. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check to see if Lock Motor Coil is open. If open, replace Lock Motor Assembly.

5. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Lock Motor continuously runs - if Micro Switch is open, replace Lock Motor Assembly.

6. (F92, 93 & 94) Check oven door Light Switch - if open, replace Switch.

7. If all situations above do not solve problem, replace EOC.

F90 is a door lock code, Try this...
unplug the range.
wait 1 minute.
turn the range back on,
then while holding in on the oven door.
start another self clean.
wait 2 minutes.
then cancel the self clean.

do not release the door until the door lock light goes out.

Kenmore electric range model 970 6362 SAB code. How do i reset this so the oven works again?

Hello. Try pressing and holding the "clock" button until the "SAB" starts blinking. It will then clear and the normal clock display will be showing--your oven is in "Sabbath mode" presently!

I have a kenmore electric range model #790.9414 and after setting the proper time and hitting start, the time display goes blank after a few seconds and must be restarted.

This is a "feature" imposed upon us by those energy-saving freaks and environmentalist-wackos. What you need to do is press and hold the clock button for 12 to 15 seconds. When you first press this button, the display will appear. Then in about 7 or 8 seconds it will disappear. Keep holding it for 12 to 15 seconds until it re-appears. Now if you release the clock button, it should remain on.

Kenmore stove

here are instructions for a Kenmore, of course they may not apply to your model, but then you haven't specified your model so it is difficult to help!
do let us know if they work
Press "Clock."
Enter the time using the number pads on the right-hand side of the clock display.
Press "Start."
Press and hold down "Clock" for six seconds, until "CLO" disappears and "12hr" or "24hr" appears on the display. Press "Flex Clean" to choose between the 12-hour or 24-hour display. Press "Start."

F14 Error

First please get the full model number of the range. Kenmore products are made by other manufacturers and the error codes will depend on the manufacturer.

Most likely, you have a Frigidaire range (for example a 970. model). Then the F14 code could indicate a problem with the P12 ribbon cable connector tail, a bad EOC (control unit), or touchpad. First try disconnecting and reconnecting that cable. Next the EOC should be replaced. Finally the touchpad should be replaced.

If this is a brand new range, contact Sears to get a repair person to fix the range. If you bought it used, see the above possible solutions.

I hope this helps.

Kenmore Electric Range

F1 Stuck touch pad Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.

BEEPING OVEN

The F1 and constant beeping is an error code indicating that your electronic control board (clock/timer) is defective. The fault cannot be reset and the control board must be replaced. This can be an expensive repair if your range is no longer covered by a warranty or service plan. The cost to buy a new control board can be in the neighborhood of about $200. Sorry...but I do hope this helps you.
