How do i bypass the ignition switch on a renaulit modus car

Check the schematic for it to see just what is feeding the circuit . And do not overlook the ignition switch circuit - on may cars that socket is dead unless the ignition is on.

Not much point in replacing the fuse,probably
just blow again

Have to get the lighter out & unplugged, to see if the fuse
will hold, then I would guess replace the failed lighter part

Did you try & use it for other accessories & blow the fuse?

check fuse also it may be a bad cigarrette lighter those things burn out all the time

you can buy another portable plug for you gps or you can buy another lighter plug and install it. It is not to hard to do just make sure you unplug the car battery first carefully and make sure the red stays away from the black concerning the big battery...

what you can do is remove steering colume cowls and remove the electrical switch on the back of the ignition,then get a pliers and twist the little spud that passses through the switch while turning the key and it will go back to position 1 for u

Some cig lighter plugins are wired directly to battery, others are connected to ignition. You can always re-wire it straight to fuse or radio memory wire (Yellow) on cd deck or (Green/Black) from car wiring

if you don't need the lighter itself to light up cigarrettes, then get rid of the lighter and using a test light or meter, make sure there is power inside thesocket where the lighter plugs into. if power is already there, then your done and ready to go, if power is not there, then check for an open fuse in your fuse panel...some lighter go directly to the battery, in that case make sure that the wires are not broken somewhere between the lighter socket and the battery

Where ever your box driver side ore pasengers side front
