I too have been struggling to figure out how to remove the cover for cleaning. It's easy enough to get the little hooks undone. What I cannot figure out is how to get the whole cover off from under the head rest.

I cant get the cover off from around the seat belt to clean it

  • Anonymous Jan 07, 2008

The cover is well pined in place at the base by plastic covers around the opening for the straps and also the head rest is holding the whole back in place. No idea ho to get the cover off at the head rest level also I am afraid I will break those plastic holders if I yank them out where the straps go in under the seat.

Most car seats have plastic clips around the edges that will come off. if you work around all the edges you can eventually get it off. The straps can be difficult to remove. Just pay close attention to how they came apart. Take pictures if you have to. They are a paint to put back if you don't.

Hope this helps,

Do not remove it unless you have the skills to remove the dozens of clips that hold the cover to the seat frame. BAD IDEA.

Cant remove the cover off the straps at the bottom of the cabrio fix car seat i have removed it off the seat but can not remove the straps at the bottom to remove the cover

Had the same problem where you are left with the cover trapped by the quick adjust part for the shoulder straps located near the foot of the seat. The solution, the strap does detach at the front of the seat. The loop that is stiched round what feels like a solid plastic part of the base, turns out that there is a gap in the plastic so push the strap to either side and pull it out through the gap. With this removed you should now be able to remove the cover completly and bung it in the washing machine on a hand wash.

Can I take off the cover and straps of to wash?

Yes you can remove the cover, but I would suggest that you leave the harness on. This can be a little tricky to remove, but can be done.

I hope this helps.

Neeed to know how to take cover off to wash on model #3521546P1

Some of these seats don't cater for removal of the cover and it is fixed on.
If it fixed on you may have to upturn the seat and soak the cover in suitable container of cleansing product by hand. Or cut cover off and apply 'velcro' strip to the two parts to join them back together. If soiling is persisitent the velcro will allow quick removal in the future. I think the manufacturers want you to go buy a new seat once it gets soiled ( :

Car seat cover

You should definitely check your owners manual. Different seats require different things to be removed (like the harness). If you can't find yours, you should be able to find one online by searching Google.
