Does it have a lint filter and where is it if so
Open it and check on the drum sideways or inside the body

run a load with no clothes with hot water and a gallon or two of bleach.
do an extra rinse cycle a couple times to make sure the bleach is rinsed out completely.

I have a regular top loader and the lint filter is on the underside of the inner tub. You have to remove the inner tub to get to it. You might be able to find a service manual explaining this at appliancejunk.com.
