This has been a problem with many carafes. I tried something I saw on a home show once, and it works, but... it may seem weird and undesirable. Unless you pour just the tiniest stream, the liquid wants to stay with the pot, you see. It will be attracted along the spout back down the pot, causing the dribble.
Put just a tiniest smear of shortening or oil on the pouring lip, and the problem will instantly disappear.
You've already guessed the undesirable part of this, right? Yep. It doesn't last for long because the hot water cuts through the film after a few pours. And, who wants Crisco in their coffee?
I didn't notice anything different with my coffee when I tried it. Probably not enough grease to make that much difference.
But the "back-drip" ended pronto.

You can find replacement cords for many counter top
appliances at most appliance and building supply stores. Try Ace, Home Depot, Lowes. Take the coffee maker with you to make sure you are getting the correct cord.

My carafe for my h/b stay or go coffee pot started leaking after owning it for a while. This appeared to be a perplexing problem until I discovered that the small gasket on the bottom of the lid had either flattened out over time, or rotated to a different position that would cause my pot to leak or dribble coffee all over my cup and counter top. To fix this I just rotated the gasket to a spot where it would create a good seal. Every so often I have to repeat this process, and I need to contact Hamilton Beach to see if they can send me a new replacement gasket, as a new gasket would solve the problem.

Yes, it works just like a regular coffee machine, like mr coffee, but instead of using 8 or 12 cup glass craft, it makes one cup at a time, put coffee grounds in to your desired strength , put water in container and put cup under and have a great cup of Joe. Thanks Mr Bean
