So you have problem on faceplate mother board on your PSP? (it's may cause by broken motherboard OR broken flexible)

Try this (I see that you can open the faceplate motherboard, so I'm not going to tell you anymore.):
1. Take out your faceplate motherboard, take the flexible out (keep in mind, there's 2 sockets that hold the flexible).
2. Have you tried to clean the edge tip (connector.)? If not, try it first.
3. Have you tried another PSP hardware? Try it first.

Any questions? Feel free to ask me =]

It may be a bad power switch. If you have another psp, you can pull the switch board out of the working PSP and put it in the broke one. It is also possible it may be bricked. Did you try a FW update before the problems started?

You could do a google search for PSP fuses on mainboard. That may or may not help as it may not be a fuse.

Hi,

Take out the battery and put it back in after 30 seconds, or takingout the battery all together and just running off the AC power adapter, if boththese methods fail, then it is something wrong with the inner controls of yourPSP. Don't try and take out the battery while having your AC still plugged in.
Hope this helps, if you need any further assistance it would be better coming to chat here.

My psp 1006 is not working, the power green flash light comes for 3 second on and off the screen stays black.

Hi,
Let's start with the obvious first. It the psp properly charged? if yes, then contiue reading. Try taking out the battery and putting it back in. You may also take out the battery all together and just run it off the AC power adapter. if the unit runs fine just using the AC adapter, it means that your battery is busted. If the unit still does not work, your Memory Card may be the culprit. Try removing the memory to confirm if it is indeed causing the problem. Replace if needed.
I hope everything works out. All the best to you.

Hi,

Im very sorry to hear that, please follow these simple steps for you to be able to isolate the exact problem.

1. Removed the battery.
2. Connect the laptop directly to the power outlet without using the battery just for the meantime.
3. Turn on the laptop. If the laptop is able to power on, that means that the AC adapter is working fine as well as the DC port. If the laptop is not able to turn on, it maybe the AC adapter itself or the DC port.
4. Try to use another AC adapter if possible, make sure that that AC adapter is working fine. If the laptop is still not turning on, the problem is with the DC port itself. In that case, you will need to replaced the Motherboard itself.

Hope this will help...Thank you for using Fixya...

Pushed the on button, the green light comes on,

Green light comes on, what about other indicator lights? Is there activity like fans humming. Try to take out the battery and power up using the ac adapter only.

Power up issue

It's possible the lid switch is stuck.
Make sure its free.
Try another power cord/adapter.
Try without the battery installed.
If none of this works the Motherboard may be at fault.

Psp unit just stop comming on

If you know another PSP user , try using their battery on your PSP to see if it is a faulty battery. Does it work on the AC Cable? If not it then it could be power line fault and will need repair
