To remove the exterior cabinet from your machine, follow these steps:

1. Unplug washing machine.

2. Remove console. This can be accomplished in one of two ways depending on which type of console you have.

a. If the console has removable end caps, the caps lift off by prying on the top from the back of the washer. The cap will pull off towards you as you are facing the unit from the front of the washer. There will be a screw under each end cap that you will need to remove.

b. If the console does not have removable end caps, you will need to slide a putty knife under the front corner of each side and push in while lifting up. There is a retaining clip under each side that has to be released.

3. Once the console has been released it will lift up and fold back over the back of the washer in its resting position. Use care not to stress the small plastic hinges that hold it on. They can break easily.

4. Under the console will be two large brass colored clips. Take a large flat blade screwdriver and place it in the groove of the clip on the washer top. With the screwdriver firmly in the groove, push away from you towards the back of the washer. This will release the clips.

5. Disconnect the lid switch connector plug. This is the white colored plug on the washer top under the console.

6. Remove the washer casing. Open the lid of the washer. Using one hand, grip under the front rim of the washer opening. Do not grab the wash tub, just the casing. Tilt the washer case from the back first towards you, slide forward slightly, and then lift up. The entire case comes off exposing the wash tub and components.

To re-install the washer case, follow these steps:

1. Re-install washer case. With the lid of the washer open, place grasp case under front rim and place it on the washer frame. While looking down through the washer lid opening, make sure the front lip of the case is placed UNDER the washer frame and rocked back onto the frame to ensure that the small cleats on the frame fit into the slotted grooves on the washer case base. If you do not get the case seated correctly it will rattle and vibrate while the washer is in operation.

2. Make sure the back of the washer fits into the washer casing on each side by leaning over the front of the washer and grasping the back panel and pull towards you. Reinsert the brass clips by placing the clips into the slot on the back of the washer first, and then forcefully push then down into the opening on top of the washer.

3. REINSTALL LID SWITCH CONNECTOR. It is easy to forget. If you do not reconnect it, the washer will not work correctly.

4. Reinstall console.

I hope this helps you.

The leak is likely coming from a broken drain pump or detached pressure hose. Remove the machine cabinet to access and look at these areas.

Unplug the machine then release the console from the top of the cabinet. Remove the screws securing the console then pull forward and up and lay it back on the hinges.

Model # 110 20702 990 S/N CK 2841239 Type 111 Machine fills and drains, but will not spin.Is this washer a direct drive? Noise when trying to spin, sounds like gears are sliding by each other. Thank...

This is a direct drive washing machine and if it fills and drains but doesn't agitate and spin, the problem is a broken motor coupler as indicated by the gear-like sound sliding by each other which means the motor is running. The machine drains because the drain pump is directly coupled with the rear spline of the motor. Replacing the motor coupler should solve the problem.

Disconnect power then release the console from the top of the cabinet. Pull or pry off the end caps then remove the screw that secures the console to the cabinet top. Once the screws are removed, pull forward and up on the console and lay it back on the hinges.

W-pool top loading washing machine-(LSQ9010PG2) leaking water from under the washer on to the floor

The drain pump is broken and leaking. Replace the drain pump (part #3363394) to fix the problem.

Remove the two screws at the back of the console securing it to the back of the machine. Once the screws are removed, hold the base of the console, lift it up slightly then flip the console to the back of the machine.

The machine's cabinet is held to the back by two clips on both sides. Insert the blade of a flat-bladed screwdriver into the lip of the clip on the cabinet side then push the screwdriver handle to the back of the machine to release the clip. Do the same to the other clip.

Disconnect the white connector connecting the lid switch wiring harness to the body of the machine.

Lift the lid then hold the front rim of the cabinet, not the tub. Tilt the cabinet to the front and lift it forward to clear the front bottom rail of the cabinet from the rail at the base of the machine. Lift up the cabinet all the way and away from the machine.

Pry off the two clips securing the drain pump to the drive motor.

Using a pair of pliers, compress the spring clamps holding the pump's inlet and outlet hoses and move it away from the pump.

Remove the hoses from the pump and install the hoses into the new pump. Once the hoses are properly installed, compress the spring clamps and put it back in place into the pump to secure the hoses.

Install the pump into the drive motor aligning the spline in the motor with the slot in the pump. Clip the pump into position to the drive motor and reinstall the cabinet.

Slide the front bottom rail of the cabinet under the rail at the base of the machine then lay down the cabinet into position. Make sure the slots in the cabinet sit into the tabs at the base of machine.

Secure the cabinet to the back of the machine with the two retaining clips. Inset the clips into the slots on the back of the machine then push it down into position to the slots on the cabinet.

Reconnect the lid switch wiring harness connector and reinstall the console.

Insert the console tabs into the slots on the cabinet and secure the console to the back of the machine.

Water leaking from machine after cycle is over

Sounds like the pump is leaking. Tilt the machine back and put two 2x4s under the front legs. Shine a light under the machine and use a mirror to see where the water is coming from.
To change the pump:
  1. Remove the two screws at the front right and left corners of the control panel. Tilt the panel back. Remove the 3 wire harness plug and the two gold clips on the right and left of the cabinet holding the cabinet to the back panel.
  2. Tilt the cabinet forward and remove cabinet.
  3. Locate the pump and remove the two hose clamps and the two clamps holding the pump to the front of the motor. Remove the pump.
  4. Install the new pump
  5. Reinstall the two hose clamps and the two clips holding the pump on.
  6. Reinstall the cabinet, the three wire harness plug and the two gold clips holding the cabinet to the rear panel.
  7. Tilt the control panel down and reinstall the two screws on each corner.
Your ready to do some more laundry.

Need help to remove water pump on a kitchen aid washing machine kaws777

Hello Friend, It's easy to replace the pump on your machine. First, remove the two screws that hold control panel in place and tilt back exposing the two metal clips that hold the cabinet in place. You will see some wires plugged into the cabinet, just unplug them. There are two clips, one on each side. Just pop these clips off and lift cabinet slightly from back and tilt forward. At this point you will be able to completely remove the cabinet. Once you have cabinet removed just set it aside. Now, you can easily remove the pump by snapping off the two spring clips. The pump will slide right off the motor shaft. Happy to help, Tim.

I need to repair my washing machine Model KAWE577BWH1

To remove the cabinet safely, the washing machine should be turned off and unplugged. Next take out the control panel by removing the screws. Also take out the spring clips which are situated in the corners and after doing that remove the harness that is connected to the lid switch wiring. Pull the lid and also keep a hand on the cabinet opening that shows itself when you open the lid. Furthermore adjust the cabinets position and then pull the lid and the cabinet opening. It should be removed now.
