We have run various scans and malware checks. The disabled light is not showing

There will be a function button on the keyboard to turn it on and off, look at all the f1 f2 etc keys and look for a mousepad symbol and press fn + that button.

When Mouse appears in the results, select it to open the Mouse Properties windows

Sub out the ram one at a time, if luck is there unit will start, second option is remove the main battery often loads the system down.

I think you have the Touch Pad disabled. You can toggle the touch pad between enable and disable by a couple of ways depending on the manufacturer. On some at the very top of the touchpad there might be a button in the middle that you can press that toggles the touchpad. On others it might be a sequence of key strokes. For example you might have to Press and Hold the ALT or FN key then hit the corresponding key at the top of the keyboard that toggles it. Most times the correct key to hit will have the icon of a finger pointing at a square area that represents the touchpad.
I found this on your particular model on HPs site. Apparently there is a button or area on the touchpad that is in the upper left hand corner of the touch pad that toggles it on or off.

otherwise The TouchPad is on.
(2) TouchPad on/off button Turns the TouchPad on and off. Quickly double-tap the
TouchPad on/off button to turn the TouchPad on and off.
