Question about LG Goldstar LD65EL Dehumidifier
I took the dehumidifier apart and found the source of the noise is the fan itself, not the compressor. When running the fan rattles so badly, it sounds like it might throw the unit apart (even though I know it won't). The fan is mounted on a screw that just turns freely so that I can't tighten the fan. I'm not sure I want to tighten it anyway. I've cleaned the fan blade, and there's nothing obvious that looks like it would unbalance the fan. Ideas?
It sounds like the fan has etached from its hub. This usually is not repairable if that's the case. Replace the fan.
