There is no display in the mobile when it is on

when i switch on the mobile there is no display but it indicates please wait screen with sony ericsson symbol.

The most likely cause is that your firmware is corrupt - go to the SE site and download the update service here:

http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/detailed/updateservice/k800i

Then just install it an follow the instructions - you need the USB cable (DCU-60) that's supplied with the phone, and you will most likely lose all the settings and content in the phone memory (but not the data on the memory stick).
