the software you are talking about is on the compaq web site unless you have a very old machine unless you have a PCMCIA card that you are using for wireless. To see if your broadcom wireless has the proper software driver installed, go to Start/Control Panel/System/hardware or device manager. You should see a list of all the hardware devices on your machine. Make sure there is no error symbol associated with the broadcom wireless device. Make sure it is not disabled....should be obvious. It should look just like all the other devices in terms of display.

hi, i've recently bought an acer aspire one running windows 7. it came with a trial version of McAfee. I uninstalled this and put on Norton 360 which i bought at the same time. Now the pc won't boot up so i carried out a system restore which cured it - but without Norton or McAfee. I reinstalled it 3 more times but it's the same. I then tried AVG and that wouldn't boot either. I then restored again. The McAfee has totally gone and I don't have any internet or virus protection. What can I do?
