Game Won't load With Hard Drive in, But will Without harddrive

You don't -play- the game from the harddrive, and nor does it make less noise if you install it.

When you install a game to your harddrive, it normally makes the game quicker to load, not for older games, I think Homefront is a "newer" game.

The benefits of installing the game is that your optical reader is less in use, that the game saves and loads quicklier and is normally better performance in-game.

i do not think someone has experienced something like this but you could always try saving the game to the hard drive before you play and playing it off the harddrive which would make sense to work but if this has not fixed it, it means you have had a damaged fable 2 in your hardrive at one point and the only fix would be is to try to get a new xbox 360 if you are really keen on playing this game

try starting a new game if it loads up... it could be a corrupted save

Sounds like your DVD drive has bit the dust. you should call MS to take advantage of your warrenty

i had the same problem with my xbox 360, but with call of duty world at war.
i had to exchange my xbox 360, for a new one.
and it now works fine, so you should probably stop trying to use the game, or exchange your 360.

WEEK INTERNET WILL CAUSE THESE SIMPTUMES EVEN IF YOUR NOT PLAYING ONLINE BUT HAVE THE INTERNET CONNECTED TO THE 360.

I'm having the same problem, I think it has problems because the cutscenes are rendered in real time (though I can't confirm this).

You should try copying the game to your hard drive, then running off the hard drive, and see how you go. I'm about to go and do that myself.

the game save may be corrupted. I know the game isnt terribly long so I would just clear the SWFU data and start over.

i used to have this same problem with my xbox, the first thing you need to try is to turn off the console and remove the harddrive (if you have one). with the hardrive taken off turn the xbox back on again then re insert the disc to the console. if the disc then starts to load up and work properly then it means that there is a problem with your hard drive. from here you have two options. 1. you rather buy an new hard drive and that should solve it or 2. you have to format your harddrive and start all your games from scratch so unfortunately either way will mean losing your data and downloads. however before you format your hardrive make sure that the game loads properly without it. if you take the hard drive off and you cannot get a game to work still them i am not sure what the problem is and you may have to ring microsoft.
