Question about Audio Players & Recorders

2 Answers

I just bought the Sony NW-A3000 because my Sony NW-HD3 finally gave up. I tried everything to transfer my music from the one to the another but I just can't. Connect won't let me import the files, Sonicstage doesn't recognise the NW-A3000.

I do get a popup when connecting my mp3 player and the Connect program does recognise my Sony nw-A3000 but Sonicstage doesn't. Sonicstage does recognise my old Sony (nw-hd3) but Connect doesn't. I want to tranfer my music, would like to do it by importing my cds all over again but they are in Belgium and I'm in Australia!

Hi,

This is a common issue with most of the users.

Use this player on another PC. If the same problem persists, Reset player and upgrade the firmware. In case, it still does not work, you need to call Sony to Replace/Repair the device.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using "Fixya".

DOES NOT RECOGNIZE PLAYER WHEN CONNECTED

ive got the new version of the sony sonic stage downloaded onto my laptop, and when i plug my player into my laptop via usb cable, the player itself is recognized straight away as a harddrive/removable disk etc,and you have to transfrer music onto the player as from sonic stage music library, and you also have to creatate you own music library via sonic stage, and u can also transfer music from your own music library wich you use via windows media player, and also u can transfer a cd into you sony sonic stage music libraty, and this is similar to when your using the windows media player as to rip a cd or transfer music onto an mp3 player,as i use all diffrent types of mp3 players myself, and i find the archos gmini sx 202 player to be pretty awesome player,as ive got to of them as well, and i use windows media player as to transfer music files onto them, and i cannot transfer any music files onto the sony ones via windown media player as those music file wont show up on the player at all,and ive tried this myself, and it will only work via sony sonic stage.

You may purchase a usb data transfer and charge cable as well as the adapter from Sony Parts.

Sony NW-A3000 mp3 player not registering on sonicstage

I was having these problems with mine.  The first thing I tried was the reset button, it's on the back of the mp3 player and you need a safety pin or a sewing needle to push it in. Then I tried a different USB port. Problem solved.
