I bought a replacement remote for Toshiba TV and it was the same model number CT-90325 same as the original. but it won't operate the TV, does it have to be programmed to the TV somehow?

Sounds like the manufacturer did an upgrade. You can look up the remote control codes for that TV. Turn the TV power on. Then using the codes you found set each one into the remote you have and check the functioning by trying to turn the TV off. If you are unable to see instructions for setting the codes into your new remote, or if they weren't supplied by the seller, you'll have to find it's manual online and follow those instructions. It could be that Toshiba used the same control model for more than one TV set model. Often just putting in batteries will work but when it doesn't you have to treat the remote as a universal remote. If you can't use the primary unit setting to work you can try to set it up as an"AUX" unit as you would do for a second TV.

My toshiba tv won't turn on

1. Verify the circuit it's plugged into is powered.
2. Change the batteries in your remote control. It requires (2) AAA's.
3. Unplug the TV for several minutes, then try again.

I can not open the remote to my toshiba aircon unit to change the batteries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

Most remote controls have a sliding door cover.
I have attached a photo of a remote control which will guide you.
where the 3 lines and the arrow are on this remote, this is where you need to press gently downwards and slide at the same time to remove the battery cover... unless you can see a single screw in the center of the remote which holds the battery cover on.

I hope this helps you.
If so please leave a vote or comment.

Just need a battery, where do I get one. My remote is only 2 years old, is it common to need a new battery?

Most remote batteries will last 6 months to a year for an LCD remote or a year to 2 years for a standard 1 way remote. They're common batteries that can be found pretty much anyway. Most 2 Way LCD remotes use a AAA battery and a lot of 1 way remotes use the "coin" style batteries such as a CR2027, CR2032 etc... These can easily be found and most retail stores and drug stores. Look by the hearing aid and watch batteries. Just match it up with the battery you have in there now. If the remote doesn't have a sliding cover, then use a small flat head screwdriver and look along the seam of the remote for a small notch made for popping the remote apart for battery access.

Wc-fm2 remote not working

Mine does not work any more. I tried a Toshiba replacement but that does not work either. Sometimes it would power up but the menu and channel change did not work nor the volume. How can I determine if it is the TV and not the remote.
