Question about Garmin Nuvi 760 Car GPS Receiver
Our Garmin Nuvi was working until we stopped on a road trip and got out of the car. When we came back to the car, we had a blank screen and the unit would not respond to switching power on or off.
I've had this happen on three successive Nuvi 760's which I sent back, the serial numbers all suggested that they came from the same production batch..
Eventually I got a Nuvi 770 which has been fine. I understand that it's not a problem with the basic design as the 770 is really just a 760 with more memory, but it's probably a fault with a batch of components used during a production run.
This is not a DIY repair; contact Garmin even if your unit is out of warranty as they might offer a goodwill repair for free or at reduced cost.
