SOURCE: F1 error message Kenmore Electric range model 790.95680301

Hi

F1 error means that you have either a bad ERC (clock) or a bad touch pad. To check these please follow these simple instructions:

  1. Disconnect power to stove
  2. Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
  3. Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
  4. Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
  5. Turn power back on to stove.
  6. Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
  7. If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
  8. If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

SOURCE: Kenmore range electronic clock blew twice.

If you blew two boards in that short period of time then you have some other issues going on, and from the sound of it its not the machine but the power supply coming int.

Electronic Oven Control on my Kenmore 95321range is not working

I just replaced mine and it's an easy fix even if you're only moderately handy. You'll need to purchase a new or refurbished oven control board. This generally is just the internal components and does not include the overlay, if any, for the clock. This will depend on your model. Here's a video showing you how easy it is.

When I plug my stove in i have the burners that come on but the oven and the clock and timer part doesn't light up. the oven doesn't come on either. My model # is J B P 76G S1WW

This indicates the ERC Electronic Range Control has failed. Check to see if you have power going into the control. If you do and nothing is working the control board or ERC needs to be replaced. Here is a link for checking and replacing an oven control. If you need diagrams and illustrations of your specific model enter your model their. All parts come with installation instructions.

F-11 comes up when using oven.

Hi,

F-11 refers to Shorted Keypad.

Disconnect the Power for Few minutes, say 5 minutes, and then Power ON the Kenmore Gas Kitchen Range.

If the Error Still remains, Replace EOC ( Electronic Oven Control / Clock ).

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Looks like yours is a bad oven control. There is a # at the end of yourmodel # 0-5 that will determine which control it takes. Once you havethat # you can look it up at http://www3.sears.com/ Looks like the part costs about $165.

F5 code displays

First turn the breaker off to the oven and leave it of for about 10 minutes. This will reset the clock and if the erc (electronic range control) is still good it will reset and work. If it doesnt come back on replace the ERC. You can order the part from sears via model number.

BEEPING OVEN

The F1 and constant beeping is an error code indicating that your electronic control board (clock/timer) is defective. The fault cannot be reset and the control board must be replaced. This can be an expensive repair if your range is no longer covered by a warranty or service plan. The cost to buy a new control board can be in the neighborhood of about $200. Sorry...but I do hope this helps you.
