I have replaced the trim up solenoid and it worked for 4 months then quit. I got it warranties and replaced it again and would not trim up, only trim down, then I swaped the solenoids and then it would trim up and not down. Then yesterday all of a sudden it starts to work like it should. I have also removed the trim motor and checked and cleaned the commentator and it works fine in both directions. What could be my problem?

Sounds like an ignition component failure check for proper resistance through primary and secondary ignition coil windings, refer to service repair manual for exact specs, also the ignitor magnetic pick up may be not up to snuff, the only other ignition component to replace or check is the ignition module and/or plug wires themselves, sometimes when extreme demand is put on the ignition system the plug wires must be high quality and completely isolated from one another. Spark plug wires when routing cannot come in contact with one another in the slightest proximity.

CHECK STARTER RELAY AND FUSE.REPLACE BATTERY CABLES IF YOU HAD THEM FOR A LONG WHILE.BECAUSE GROUND CABLE COULD BE BAD.TURN OFF RADIO FIRST BEFORE REMOVING BATTERY CABLES SO YOU WONT LOSE RADIO CODE.

Sounds like the seal in the new clutch master cylinder. I've seen that same problem in the hand brake system in small 2 and 4 seat airplanes. ( I'm and aircraft mechanic) The problem is not air in the lines so bleeding won't help. The piston seal is intermittantly failing to seal. That is whty the function can return without any apparent reason as the seal has seated itself. The only cure is to replace or rebuild the master cylinder. ( Yes, even new or rebuilt ones can have a defective or improperly installed piston seal)
Hope this helps
i am a tech at a ford dealership. it sounds like you have a short some wheres around your steering column that maybe what we call "backfeeding" to other systems. the area where the tilt is on the steering column is a good place to check. also remote starters can cause alot of havoc on a vehicle.
