If the washer is overflowing the pressure switch might be defective. The pressure switch is attached to a small tube which is attached to the outer wash tub. As the water level rises the air pressure in the tube increases, once the set water level is reached the pressure switch turns off power to the water inlet valve. Check to be sure the air tube to the pressure switch is clear before replacing the switch.
If the pressure switch is fine, check the water inlet valve for continuity on the solenoid coil by removing the top cover of the machine.

SOURCE: LG WFT1022TP top loader washing machine

the system which controls water level is an air chamber with a small diameter pipe which goes to a pressure stat. when the correct level is reached, the pressure in the air chamber switches the pressure stat and cuts the water off. the things to look for are: gunge in the air chamber split in the pipe. faulty pressure stat to test, get a similiar length of small diameter pipe and connect it to the pressure stat instead. with the machine filling, blow gently into the pipe and see if the water intake cuts off

SOURCE: front loader wm2277hs washer with OE error sign

The LG error code OE simply means “the pump is blocked”.

Presumably the water isn’t being emptied properly.

As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation.
And from your original post, I see that you have checked the drain pipe and the pump filter..

Those are the only 2 things I would of asked you to check aswell.

As for the price, I cannot answer that as most manufacturers wont publish their prices unfortunatly.

Sorry I couldnt of offered more help.

SOURCE: My LG front loader is washer leaking water.

Could be the bladder from the drum to the door of the door seal. It could also be the drain pump hose.

If water runs in when the machine is OFF but stops when the tap is turned off it means a faulty watervalve.replace water valve. Probably a double valve. Dont mix up the hoses or the wires........Nomess

Sounds like a control pcb malfunction. Remember that you are dealing with MAINS Voltages which can be lethal.
Never continue to use a machine that floods or enables random water release for any reason. The end result might be Electrocution, and it is certainly not worth that risk

Winterizing a Washing Machine

If you keep your washer in area where you need to winterize for the winter (unheated garage or unoccupied vacation home), the following steps may provide you with some helpful guidance in preparing before extreme temperatures occur and possibly leave you with damaged plumbing and/or a ruined appliance.<br /> <br /> <b><u>TOP LOADERS</u></b>:<br /> <br /> 1. Turn off the main water supply to both water taps.<br /> <br /> 2. Remove the fill hoses, drain them of all water and reinstall them - leave water supply turned OFF.<br /> <br /> 3. Add 1 gallon of Recreational Vehicle (RV) antifreeze (non-toxic) to an empty wash tub.<br /> <br /> 4. Select the DRAIN/SPIN function on the timer and allow the washer to run for one minute to drain the antifreeze from the wash tub, and any water remaining in the drain pump or drain lines. <br /> <br /> NOTE: Not all the antifreeze will drain. A small amount will remain in the drain pump and line (this is normal).<br /> <br /> 5. STOP or CANCEL the timer on the washer and UNPLUG.<br /> <br /> 6. Wipe down and dry the wash tub.<br /> <br /> 7. Clean the detergent dispenser and fabric softener dispenser and ensure they are dry.<br /> <br /> 8. Store washer, unplugged in an upright position.<br /> <br /> <br /> <b><u>FRONT LOADER</u></b>:<br /> <br /> 1. Select the DRAIN/SPIN function on the timer and allow the washer to run for one minute to drain the antifreeze from the wash tub and any water remaining in the drain pump or drain lines. <br /> <br /> NOTE: Not all the antifreeze will drain. A small amount will remain in the drain pump and line (this is normal).<br /> <br /> 5. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to halt the cycle and UNPLUG the appliance.<br /> <br /> 6. Wipe down and dry the wash tub.<br /> <br /> 7. IMPORTANT: Check the perimeter of the door bellow (gray rubber seal) and make sure no small articles of clothing are left in the rubber folds. Clean this area thoroughly and dry. NOTE: Anything left behind will mildew over a period of time causing foul odors.<br /> <br /> 8. Clean the detergent dispenser drawer of any remaining water or fabric softener residue.<br /> <br /> 9. Store washer, unplugged in an upright position.<br /> <br /> <b><i><u>Secondary Method</u></i></b>: <br /> <br /> If you cannot find RV antifreeze (or prefer not to use it), another method of draining the washer is to remove the drain hose from the standpipe at the wall and pull a vacuum on the line with a wet/dry shop vac. This will pull any remaining water from the drain pump and lines. <br /> <br /> If a shop vac is not available, lowering the drain hose from the standpipe to the floor will allow it to drain using simple gravity. <u>IMPORTANT</u>: On a front loader, you may have to remove the drain line from the drain pump to drain the pump. Or, use the access cover (if equipped). Most front loader pumps are accessed by removing the lower panel directly below the door.<br /> <br /> <b><i><u>Taking the Washer out of Winter Storage</u></i></b>:<br /> <br /> To remove antifreeze from the washer following storage, run the appliance on a complete cycle with detergent and NO garments added.<br /> <br /> I hope you find this information helpful. If you have any questions, please let me know.<br /> <br /> <br />

Unplug the washer, if the issue continues, you have a faulty inlet water valve. What happens is particulate matter gets in and the valve jambs. If you have a new unit, the repair should be for free.

The only case where I could see water going in, is if it was requested, by user input....But front loaders use tons less water......

My duet front loader will fill with a large

there are two water valves above the soap drawer, that are sping loaded to stay shut when power is off. if the water pressure to the machine has increased, sat due to an increase in main pressure from the water board fixing a leek further up the supply, then this could force open the valves. try turning the stop valves at the inlet pipe end, away from the machine, down a quarter turn and see if this stops it.

My Maytag top load won't stop filling up with water.

it is your fill valve on the rear of your washer, i believe it is blue in color, and your water hoses are connected to it, not to hard to replace ,i've replaced mine twice, but they build up sediment inside and get stuck, not to much pricewise either.

GE profile top loader washer will not fill with water at all!!

do you hear any humming when it asks for water? do you have flood stop hoses? if you have flood stop hoses take them off this could be your problem. sounds like the unit thinks its full of water if it only washes and spins sounds like you have a bad pressure switch. this should be a covered repair if the unit is brand new. let me know if you have any other questions

When washer fills it does not stop unless done manually

HI, i recommend testing the timer/control device for faults. make sure it is spinning and not shorted. if the timer/control device is in good condition, this will confirm a serious fault in the water valve assembly(inlet). replace this device in this case.

Water will not stop on cycle

If you turn the timer off and the water still runs you have a bad water valve. If it stops when the timer is off, You have a bad pressure switch.
