I just hooked up my amp yesterday. I have a Dub Mag Audio DUB2502 amplifier with two 12 inch pioneer ts-w301r 4-ohm svc subs. At first I thought my wiring to the amp might have been wrong so I went to best buy and had it checked out and the guy said it seemed to be ok. He said it looked like one of my subs was bad or my amp was bad.
I find this hard to believe because everything is brand new. But I know its possible. The amp also has blue lights that illuminate the little glass type of thing with the amp controls. But that has only came on once, every other time just the red protection mode light. Once it was on green to but only for a very short time, maybe 30 seconds.
Anybody know whats going on? I need some help. I hope nothing is faulty because I didn't buy the warranty with none of this assuming brand new stuff would work fine.
Check to make sure your ground wire is attached to a clean metal surface no more then 18" away from amp. check all wires to ensure none are touching other terminal. all else fails remove one sub and see how it play, if its works great switch subs. could be a defective amp. if it is the amp and you payed for it with a credit card or bank card you can do a charge back from the bank to get your money back if the store wont replace it. thell the bank "you want to do a charge back cause it wasnt as discribed).
Check the ground on the amp and subs, make sure no loose wires or crossing connectios.
some how the wires from the brakes and the wires from the amp are connecting.....try pulling the fuse on the brakes and press them and see if it still does it.
no prob.

Thanks, it ended up being my ground. I had it grounded to the same ground as my batter underneath my backseat. For some reason I guess it couldn't draw enough power. New hole drilled right by it and now it is working.
Except now my subwoofers cut out sometimes, mainly just when I am braking but not only when braking. Anybody know what is going on here?
Also, it is just the subs that cut out when it does this, not interior speakers.
Ok, I will do. If the ground area wasn't cleaned before installing would it cause this problem? I know its not dirty but I know theres probably paint still there.
Also, works great when I am just parked. Just mainly when I brake.
Ok, I wont be able to do this today but will tomorrow. But if that was the problem would it be doing it while in park and pressing the brakes to?
Because I tried pressing the brakes while stopped and it didn't do it. Only when driving and suddenly stopping. An today it also started just going out on its own.
I messed with the frequency and level a little bit to because both were on max. So maybe this will help, not really sure though.
Thanks for taken the time out to help.
