My ps3 doest display anything nor makes any sounds please help
When i turn on the ps3 nothing appears on my tv and i had been playing with my ps3 for over an year now. last thing that happened was 1 week ago when i went over to singapore and i played it on HD but after a week when i came back, i plugged in my old av because i dont an HD tv and started..nothing appears or even audio. Also i checked if i may have plugged the cable wrong but i checked and rechecked for about 20 times now and still doesnt work and its not the problem with the tv either as i have checked it by trying it on another tv and still nothing happens PLEASE HELP !!!
Re: my ps3 doest display anything nor makes any sounds...
Just a gander, but your PS3 may be set for HD output thus not displaying on your non HD television, your best bet in this case is to find an HD television, friend, coworker, etc, connect to it and switch the settings back to regular. Also if I understand correctly leaving the ps3 completely unplugged for 72 hours may also reset all settings. Good luck!

u said your ps3 is in green light so the problem can be easily solved..make sure u switch on the ps3 in the safemode and the problem will be solved ..u can even try this site to solve these kind of problems
ok, put your ps3 in standby mode(solid red light) then hold the power button. Just keep holding it until the picture shows up, asking you if you want to set in to optimal video settings, in which you say yes. if it turns of before saying this, try again and again. if after a few tries it doesn't work, check the cables in the back of the system and tv to make sure they're plugged in fully. then check to make sure your tv is on the right video setting (video 1, 2, 3, digital output, etc.)
I have recently brought the same TV and had the same problem but I've mangaed to find a soultion.
The automatic setting for Blu Ray on PS3 is Full HD (1080p) but the Acoustic Solutions TV is HD ready (720p). For PS3 games it will automattically change settings for you to 720p. This is why this works straight away but Blu Ray doesn't.
You need to plug in your PS3 using the scart contection, then on the ps3 menu go to settings > display settings > HDMI. You will then need to attach the HDMI cable and manually set up HDMI by checking the 720p option and deselect 1080p.
That should then play Blu Rays too. You don't lose too much quality as 720p works nearly as well as 1080p on smaller TVs.
The problem is all in the settings. You probably have a 1080i television that cannot display in 1080p. To fix this go to the main menu and go to:
Then Blu Ray Disc and make it turn the Display BD in 1080p 24hz or whatever. Once you do that, start the Blu Ray Disc again, and you should be able to watch it. This all happened because your tv doesn't display 1080p.
I posted to your problem with a similar one. I was able to get my PS3 to work by:
1.) Powering down both the PS3 and ViewSonic LCD
2.) Unplugging the power cables to both PS3 and LCD
3.) Waiting at least 10 or more seconds
4.) Plugging in the power cables to both PS3 and LCD
5.) Turning on the ViewSonic LCD
6.) Turning on the PS3 and holding down the power button until the beep
After this sequence I heard the bootup audio and the menu appeared on the screen- which detected the HDMI connection to my LCD.
Very odd.. I've had my PS3 in the same place for months and just today this happened.
Hey i just posted i have the same problem as you do but then I checked the SONY PS3 website and it solved my problem. Try resetting your video output. I'll paste what it says on the PS3 website but if that doesn't solve your problem go to the website. They have a bunch of troubleshooting solutions for this problem...
If while manually changing the Video Output Settings, the screen
remains blank for more than 30 seconds, you may need to perform the
following steps to reset the Video Output Settings.
Make sure the Component AV Cable is connected to the [AV MULTI-OUT] port on the back of the PLAYSTATION 3 system.
Connect the other end of the Component AV Cable into the video and audio RCA jacks of the TV or display monitor.
While the PLAYSTATION 3 system is in standby mode (red light on the
front of the system), hold down the touch-sensitive On/Off button on
the front of the system until the system goes into standby mode again .
(So the light cycle would go from: red light to --> green light
--> then back to red light) This will ensure that you have held
down the On/Off button long enough to reset the Video Output Settings.
Turn ON the PLAYSTATION 3 and once the system finishes powering up,
the Video Output Settings will automatically be reset to the standard
resolution (or detect the current display output settings of your
to all those who cannot see any display..hold down the on/off button until it beeps once, then wait a few seconds until it beeps again, the ps3 will have reset itself and will adjust the visual settings to fit your tv
