SOURCE: vertex radio vx 10

Maybe with the drop the radio speake is out of place, did try to open the radio and find if the speaker is in its correct place? The speaker uses a spring connector and this can be out of place. Good luck

SOURCE: Vertex programming problems via USB

This probably doesn't help, but sometimes a much slower (older) computer will work where a faster (newer) will not. The Motorola's are notorious for this. Others, too. USB is USB, a standard--so that's not your issue.

Why not just get a differant radio capable for beacons. 406mhz is what they've changed to.
.
You used a part that was not compatable with your radio. The VX-150 has a differant size plug than the VXA-150
You'll need to take the radio to repair or bend the jack back to the size for the appropiate headphones.

Yes you need a firmware program for that. Do you have a local shop in your area?

Whats wrong when code LE is displayed?

Hello,

An LE error code on the washer's display indicates that the motor is locked, possibly due to a heavy wash load. Large and heavy sized loads will put a strain on the motor, causing the LE to occur. Performing a reset to the washer will normaly resolve the error with a reduced load size.If the error occur again, go to service center.

All the best !

My Vertex Standard VX-2200 display blinks continuously and when i press the ptt button it say error

Not enough power. The radio requires a steady 12 VDC input, or in a vehicle, 13.2 VDC. You did not mention if this is a 25 or 50 watt radio. I guess 50 watt. This occurs often when the wire is too thin for the amperage required. Get thick wire or the harness may not provide enough amps and it will get really, really hot! The wiring harness from Vertex is the best one. If you have checked all your wiring AND the power connections, it is less likely a programming error. Let us know!

Vertex vx-3000l windows loading software

You need the Vertex radio programming software for that particular radio model and the programing cable. This is available on the web if you search for it.

Pinouts for vertex-standar vx-230

Hi,

I'm guessing that you require a schematic diagram for the interface.

If that is correct, may I direct you to the following: join yahoo group SPECIFIC to your radio Make/Model, there you will receive all the info you require, plus you can download manuals, diagrams and other goodies.

I hope this helps you.

Cheers,
Peter

I was given a Vertex VX-10 2 way radio. I purchased a program and cable but I see on my display screen that the radio is locked. How do I unlock it?

It's normally a combination of the "function" key and one of the keypad keys (that will have a little padlock icon next to it). You may be able to get a user manual for this radio at www.mods.dk.

SONY uvw 1800 Error Code 02-454

The unit powers on, the drum shows only 0005 hours on it, but the display says it has an "Error 02-454" Error Code, and says "REC Inhibit", and it will not accept a tape. When this unit is powered on it shows error code 02-454 which is:
S-REEL FG COULD NOT BE DETECTED WHILE IN FF/REW MODE.
You can cross-reference this error code at the following web site:
http://www.johnjvsvisual.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/UVW1600-1800%20error%20codes.pdf
From what I’ve been told this is a very easy fix for someone that knows how to work on these. It is a very clean machine, inside and out, and I am sure it is well worth getting serviced and put back in use
