Sony DSC-H2 flash bulb not working

Probably just a burned out bulb or a disconnected wire. Try taking it to a Radioshack and see if they can take out the bulb for a replacement. Shouldn't be that difficult to replace.

My flash no longer works. When I press half-way down, the image on my screen looks as if the subject is lit up, but when I take the picture the flash does not work. Could the flash bulb be burned...

The bulb is most likely the problem, but it could be the high voltage capacitor that triggers the flash bulb, or possibly the transformer that charges the capacitor. I would bring it to a camera shop to see if the bulb replacement will do the trick.

E91:01 flashes on screen. Flash will not work. Door pops up but no flash. Is there a fix? This is a Sony DSC H-2

The error message is saying that the high voltage capacitor that creates the flash is not charging. There is probably a burned connection inside the camera or the bulb is bad - do not attempt to fix unless you're aware of getting a good jolt of electricity if you touch the wrong thing. Take it in to a repair shop.

Flash does not work, is there a consumer solution.

If there are no specific Flash errors showing on your LCD (ex. E9101 error ), it is possible that your Flash bulb may have already burned out and needs to be replaced.
The bulb will eventually burn out especially if you've been using your camera regularly for a number of years.
If this is the case, there is nothing you can do on your end because the xenon flash bulbs are not user serviceable because the bulbs operate at dangerously high voltages. If it is still under warranty, Sony should cover it. You can call Sony Technical support at 239-768-7547. However, if it is out of warranty and you do not want to spend a penny, you can try this - Turn up the ISO sensitivity setting a bit to make your camera more sensitive to light ( do not go over 800 for this adjustment ). This will make the images of your camera a little bit brighter without using a flash. This tip will not fix your flash problem, but it sure beats not being able to use your camera in low light situations. All the best to you, Dbrasfield.

Flash not popping up or working on fuji finepix s700 digital camera

The S700 does NOT have a manual release for the flash to pop up, but it DOES have a spring already. DO NOT try to force it! Set the flash to "FORCE", leave your lens cap on and waste a shot to allow the flash hood to pop up. Reset your flash to the desired setting and now the flash is already open and ready for use without the delay and the startling effect it has when your concentrating on framing your shot. As for the other problem of no flash in any setting: Check your menus to see if you have the flash totally disabled, check your batteries, does the "charge indicating light" come on at all between shots? In RARE cases, the actual bulb that flashes may be burned out, or a component in the flash circuit itself, such as the capacitor, may have gone bad. Did the flash ever work? If under warranty, return for repair or replacement. There are NO user serviceable parts in these tiny cameras

Flash flickers...

i honestly never came across anyone who had a flash replaced usually because most companys flat rate out of warranty repairs at 100-125 dollars-if it's a p series camera it sounds like the flash is dying or the battery is worn out and not supplying proper voltage to allow it to fully fire-i would consider buying a new w series w150 is great or 120- if battery is fine then flash is just shot-even old memory sticks won't work in new models so you also have to buy a new card

Flash button won't select mode.

you cannot set anything on auto mode! The camera sets itself automatically. try taking shot(AutoMode)in dimlit area or no light at all. If it's taking shots and flash isn't firing, your flash bulb is already busted! I suggest you buy a separate flash unit (they cost the same as replacing parts and service fee), a cheap one is comparable or works the same as the costly one, if you know how to set up on manual mode ( they call it compose or advance or creative mode!)
