SOURCE: error 1721

What Is Error 1721? This is an error commonly witnessed when you try to uninstall a program using the "Add or Remove Programs" in Microsoft Windows XP. The message itself will read: "Error 1721. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personal or package vendor."
Resolution #1: Reregistering the Windows Installer service It is known that if the Microsoft installation engine malfunctions or is internally corrupted, there is a possibly that you will not be able to remove programs that you used the Windows Installer, the service that administers the installation and configuration of programs, to install with. Thus, in the case of error 1721, it is necessary to unregister and then reregister the Windows Installer service to fix the corrupted parts of the engine. This can be accomplished through the Safe Mode by:

  1. Enter your computer in Safe Mode by:
    • Restarting the computer and pressing F8 after the BIOS information is shown
    • Select Safe Mode and Enter
    • Select your computer and Enter
  2. Log on as the local administrator
  3. Open up the command prompt by clicking Start, Run, and then typing cmd.exe and Ok
  4. At the command prompt, first unregister the service by typing msiexec /unregister and then hitting Enter
  5. Reregister the service by typing msiexec /regserver and then hitting Enter
  6. Type Exit to exit the command prompt safely
  7. Try to remove the program once again using Add or Remove Programs
I hope this helps you out. Thanks

SOURCE: hp mini not charging from power supply, port may

You might want to take it the Geek Guys over at best buy and they'll tell you if the port is the problem or the cable is.I know this because my laptop motherboard was fired and i wanted to make sure that it was the motherboard or just the cable so he tested it and the port and cable worked fine but the motherboard was fried and they usually just charge you but he didn't.
Hope this worked

I have a HP mini notebook-does not allow updates because i have to go through the media folder. How can i fix this?

How did you reset your computer?, normally the operating system remains on the hard drive. If you deleted it, then you need to create a restore disk some how and use this to allow you to load the Windows 7 program from disk. See Microsoft for restoring Windows 7 here

Dvd not working in bios or Windows 7

It's a common problem when upgrading a OS? Is the DVD rom the only component that's missing a driver? Any Unknown Devices? Have you opened the Device Manager and looked for the DVD? In Device Manager, Scan For Hardware Changes. Not Listed? Have you done ALL your windows Updates? All the HP updates? Try the driver here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-58707-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=2093&product=3548266&sw_lang= Download the software and SAVE to a folder. I changed the operating system now i have windows 7 on the compaq tc1100 and now i can not use the wireless how can i fix this??

Access the manufacturer's web-site:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Home.jsp?lang=en&cc=ca&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=376810&lang=en&cc=ca

and you'll see that no device-drivers for Windows 7 are available from HP.

This might mean that HP has submitted the device-drivers for your wireless adapter to Microsoft.
If so, try: http://WindowsUpdate.Microsoft.com and do a search for "optional hardware updates".
If there is a device-driver, Windows Update will offer it for downloading/installing.
