Question about Kenmore 24032\24036 Top Load Washer

Kenmore 80 Series won't Rinse. Just stops at rinse cycle.

Kenmore 80 Series won't Rinse. My washer just started this, when it gets to the rinse cycle, it just stops. I tried all the settings and the same. If I turn the knob a little to coax it into rinse, it will start filling and then a moment or two later it stops. Play with knob and same result, it starts to fill, then stops. There is no noises and nothing running when it does this. I can hear the lid switch working when I open and close the lid and the lid switch always seems to work id I open and close during wash cycle. I can also wash in the cold setting so it doesn't seem like the cold water valve. Any ideas?

Is this something that I need to get a service call for or something I can do? How much shuld it cost? Is there any way to reset it, perhaps by unplugging it? This is not a digital washer but the standard knob style, I know that everything seems to have a computer in it any more but his too?

Hi it seems like your dishwasher's programming system is malfunctioning, you will need to get it 'reprogrammed' so it will function correctly and complete its cycles.

it may have a auto reset system, you can try this by just unplugging it for ~30mins and try again, you will not be able to reprogramme it yourself as you will need specialized equipment, it will not cost too much as it only needs reprogramming and nothing needs replacing.

Kenmore 80 Series top loading washer--will not stop filling with water at the beginning of the wash cycle and for the rinse cyle. Is there an easy fix or should I purchase a new washer? How much can I

The pressure switch is failed - remove the tube from inside the top console area and blow it out. If you're lucky it will again work - with no charge.

Won't complete cycle, stops at rinse. and can't get hot water.

Are you on well water? turn off the cold water to the washer and clean the screen filter out. do not leave filter out.
the machine probably has a cold only final rinse so it won't work properly.

Kenmore washer series 80, Clothes still soapy

If you are getting no water spray during the rinse cycle that would cause the soapy clothes issue.

Are you getting cold water during the wash/rinse cycles? If you have the machine set to warm/warm you may only be getting hot water while the final spin is calling for cold.

If you have cold water available then the timer is not calling for the water spray. The problem is either in the mixing valve or the timer.
