Webcamnot detected by the driver software

I received a driver link and downloaded the same but my webcam is not yet detected and recognized by the driver software. My system detects the hardware as soon as i plug it into the USB port.can i get some help

Did you try the webcam program in the windows control panel? It will detect many webcams that
other webcam programs have trouble with. Also,
some cam programs need you to select your cam from a long list. All the major IM programs should have no trouble with a Logitech webcam.
